RainAid uses a weighted float to control the level of
water in the tank. When the water level rises
above the float, the float rises slightly and shuts off
the valve. The fact that the float does not float on the
surface ensures that the float line will not become
entangled. When the water level drops below the float,
the float's weight will open the valve. The system
will maintain the water level within 100mm of the
nominated level.
